It's a simple yet wholesome snack

I love to experiment in the kitchen, today a very quick (it's only 5 minutes prep time) recipe for a high protein snack - vegan cheesy chips

This recipe is a delicious fusion - yuba/fucuk/bean curd skin with ...nutritional yeast.

If you are based out of Asia just head to your local Asian supermarket to find yuba.

What do you get ?

Delicious crispy cheese crisps....and with Vortex AirFryer I made it absolutely oil free. It's a great alternative to potato chips.


Vegan Cheesy Chips

  • 2 sheets or 2 long sticks of yuba/fucuk/dried bean curd skin

  • 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 2 tablespoon nutritional yeast

  • splash of water


Directions

1. Dried yuba needs to be rehydrated before using. Sticks should be soaked in water for a few hours, but sheets just need to be hydrated with a damp towel or dipped quickly in water first

2. Prepare a paste from nutritional yeast, garlic powder, vinegar and water.

3. Cut yuba into smaller pieces and cover in the paste

4. In an airfryer preheated to 205C cook them for 9minutes

5. Serve chilled
